My First Visit to the Wisconsin State Fair

I started a new job a few months ago and as a part of my job, I got to go to the state fair!  Mo and I arrived around 9 a.m. at the fairgrounds.  We got a free parking pass and free tickets because we were vendors.  Woohoo!

It was Mo's first time at the state fair, too, so we got a little lost but finally found our spot in the Discover Wisconsin tent in the central mall.

We set up our table and started telling everyone who stopped by how awesome Burlington is and how they should come visit or move to our town and stay forever.  Cause it's that cool!

Me
Mo
We got some blended coffee and candied almonds - the perfect combination for a humid day at the fair.  And then we talked up Burlington like it's the best place to visit - and live - in Wisconsin. BECAUSE IT IS!

Around 11 a.m, as per usual, we started to get hungry.  After surveying our options, we decided on 25 Different Kinds of Grilled Cheese!  One of the best decisions, we've ever made!

It was delicious!

And I got Mo's pickles, too!  After lunch, and more talking up Burlington, listening to the sweet JAMS from the band in the pavilion

AND A PARADE with MOUNTED POLICE!!!

... my wonderful parents came to relieve us for a while.

Aren't they the best parents?!?!

Mo and I wandered off into the fair and bought cheese curds and deep fried green beans.  We considered a wine tasting but didn't think it would be responsible to get tossed before going back to woman our booth.  We picked up some pretzel bites, a hot dog for my mom, cherry pie, and chocolate covered cherries. Wisconsin State Fair has the best foods - and they're from WISCONSIN!

Oh, and we saw New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his family... boo-yah!

All in all, it was a pretty sweet FIRST - can't wait for my next FIRST!
Any Recommendations?
